Peelle New York
Incorporated in New York in 1905, Peelle’s origins date back to the late 1800s, when founder Caleb Peelle began selling hoistway safety gates in New York City. These gates became the foundation for the array of elevator entrance solutions we offer today, such as robust freight doors, car gates, car enclosures, passenger entrances, and replacement panels.
From the very beginning, Peelle has provided installation support for our products. Over time, our expertise expanded, enabling us to offer installation for non-Peelle products, mainly passenger entrances. We are elevator entrance experts and understand the nuances of installation, maintenance and repair. This philosophy has made installation and support integral to our operations in New York.
Peelle maintains strong partnerships with major and independent elevator contractors, offering comprehensive turn-key solutions by furnishing and installing our products. Our commitment to installation continues to encompass freight and passenger elevator doors, car enclosures, emergency repair services, and routine maintenance.
Our skilled manufacturing and field teams address all freight and passenger needs, from specification writing to field surveys and installation. Peelle’s project portfolio includes various installations, from iconic landmarks to practical facilities. Notable projects include the World Trade Center Complex, the Empire State Building, the Brooklyn Army Terminal, Target department stores, hotels, and parking garages.
Our service and installation team prides itself on six pillars of service:
1. Responsiveness
The Peelle New York team is readily accessible and prioritizes prompt responses to mobilize resources efficiently, ensure enhanced performance, and maximize elevator uptime.
2. Turn-key Services
From start to finish, Peelle is there every step of the way, from performing detailed elevator surveys and providing engineered proposals to manufacturing, shipping, installation, commissioning and finally, elevator turnover.
3. Reliability
At Peelle, adhering to timely project start and finish schedules is a top priority. We understand the importance of meeting commitments made to general contractors, building owners, end-users, and architects. We uphold our customers’ trust by maintaining strict schedules and ensuring on-time project completion. Collaborating with the same IUEC Local 1 labor as our customers, we recognize and respect the value of their time, fostering seamless and efficient project execution.
4. Building the Right Team
Exceptional installation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting start with hiring and training qualified, skilled elevator technicians. Our team brings unmatched expertise in elevator knowledge, installation, maintenance, modernization, and emergency service, ensuring superior performance and reliability.
5. Relationship Building
With over a century of experience as a legacy manufacturer, Peelle takes great pride in fostering strong relationships with consultants, manufacturers, suppliers, competitors, and customers. These connections allow us to collaborate seamlessly across all aspects of a project, leveraging our extensive resources to deliver the highest-quality installations.
